Love Life Get Cooking! Springtime is around the corner! It’s time to get the oven Fired Up for up some great pizza in the great outdoors! Check out this amazing creation Pizza Porcini with Arugula.
So let’s get creative this season and make some incredible creations! My good friend and pizza Master (Andrew Scudera) shared this incredible pizza with me. It was a wonderful earthy pizza for those who love Mushrooms and Arugula. The Pizza was made with a bulk fermented dough. (The bulk fermentation of any dough is a crucial step in the bread baking process, even if it isn’t the most exciting one. We call it a bulk fermentation because we are letting our dough—the entire batch—ferment as one mass, before dividing and shaping. This is a fast and easy way to make the dough rise and get some nice structure ) The Pizza Dough was baked first in a pan for about 15 minutes (while covered with foil to prevent the top from burning) Once cooked it was topped with porcini mushroom cream sauce, fresh mozzarella, crushed black pepper, and thinly sliced sausage. Then put back into the oven to cook to perfection. When the pie came out it was topped with cracked black pepper, arugula, sundried tomatoes, shaved Reggiano and truffle oil!
Absolutly incredible flavors that combined so well it was just amazing . Oh forgot one last tibit it also had capacola on top the salt from the meat just set it off so perfect !
