
How to Make Quattro Stagioni Pizza
Quattro Stagioni Pizza or Pizza Quattro Stagioni (four seasons pizza) is a variety of pizza in Italian cuisine that is prepared in four sections or with four diverse ingredients, with each section or ingredient representing each season of the year. It is a very popular pizza in Italy and has been described as a “classic”,”famous and “renowned” toppings or Italian pizza!
Either way, you make toppings or separate it’s an amazing pizza!
Ingredients.
- 1 small dough
- 4 oz of pizza sauce hand crushed San Marzano
- 4 oz of fresh mozzarella
- 4 oz Artichoke hearts (seasoned or roasted)
- Fresh sliced mushrooms Baby portabellas or any fresh seasoned mushrooms
- Olives your choice
- prosciutto dip parma
- Olive oil
- Parmesan cheese
- Chopped basil
Procedure
Top your dough with tomato sauce. Nice and light! Add you fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes and olives. Drizzle some olive oil on the pizza. Be sure you spread the toppings out well you don’t want to make the pie heavy cook well. When done top with prosciutto di parma (its always best not to cook the prosciutto) and fresh chopped basil!
Tips
Medium to high flames.
Cook well don’t lay the toppings on too heavy, you always want the pizza to be light and cooked well. When cooking with several toppings remember they need to cook and the toppings need room to cook. You want to be able to taste each topping as you eat the pie, less is more sometimes.
